Mason rolls over!! Yesterday we laid him on his belly & he pushed himself up, he was mad cause he did not want to be on his belly. Next thing you know he's on his back. I flipped him back over & he just keeps rolling over! He'll be 3 months on Monday...it's crazy how much has already changed! He's so fun!!

Blessing Mason

On Sunday we blessed Mason...he's usually a VERY happy baby in the mornings & is so easy going, well not before the blessing! He was so cranky all morning. We got him in his car seat & headed to the church, he was being good until sacrament started...then he started to throw a fit. You could tell he was just tired so I took him out to try &get him to sleep before the blessing...it was working until a little boy decided to slam a door shut. There was no winning. So I brought him to Nic & as soon as Nic stood up to take him up & bless him, he quit his crying. He was SOO good during the blessing, he didn't make a sound!! It was a miracle!

Nic did such an awesome job blessing him!! He is such a good dad & husband! I'm so thankful for him & his testimony! We are so lucky he holds the preistood & is able to bless him! Thanks for all you do Nic :)

2 Months

We took Mason in for his 2 Month check up on the 21st...it's crazy how much he has changed!! he weighs 12lbs 2 oz. & is 23 in long, which they say both are in the 50 Percentile. Now his head is another story...it's HUGE!! it measures at 16 1/2, which is in the 90% it doesn't seem big until the onsies that fit his body won't fit over his melon! It's sure a cute head tho :)

It's so fun, he smiles all the time & he's starting to laugh out loud. When we talk to him he copies back, he "talks" when were driving in the car & he sure talks loud when were not giving enough attention! He's at a fun stage & it's getting more fun every day!!

It had been a long week in the hospital!!

The Past Year

So much has gone on in our lives the past year & since it's the new year I just wanted to look back & see all that's happened!!

January

• Nic got settlement money from a car wreck & so we stashed it into our savings for a down payment on a house
• Nichole found out she had endometriosis & had surgery to get rid of much of it as we could. So glad Nic has an understanding boss & let him stay home a couple days to take care of me!

February

• We started to talk to Nichole's Uncle Reed about building us home, just an idea, nothing serious yet!

March

• We purchased a lot from Uncle Reed...looks like we're building a house!
• We signed the papers & pretty much our lives to the bank
• Nic's parents let us move into their basement so we could save some money while we were building
• Got the cutest puppy...we named him Bentley!

April

• Nichole hadn't been feeling too good...so we bought a pregnancy test just to make sure...SUPRISE...there's a baby on the way!!
• Started to build the house! Got the basement poured & all framed up!

May

• Still building the house...Nic learned how to roof & had all the help he could get from Nichole's mom & uncles.

June

• On June 6th of 2009 we were sealed in the Logan Temple...so Nic suprised & we were able to get away for the weekend from all the hastle of building the house

• We had to be in the house by the 30th to get the tax credit for our house, we got in on the 29th & counter tops were still getting worked on...nothing like last minute, but we did it!!

July

• We found out our baby is a BOY!!

August

• Not much happened with us this month, but 2 of our really good friends got married...we're so happy for them!!

September

• Nic had to take another Job because when we built we planned on both our income but when he comes Nichole needed a couple weeks off, so he's working at the cabinet shop & Gossners...we see each other for probably an hour total a day. So thankful for a husband who would do this for us!

October

• The pregnancy had been going good so far except I was having horrible pain in my kidneys & ribs...they call it hydronephrosis, pretty much my kidneys weren't working as good & it makes your ribs hurt, so they gave me pain medicine & I had to deal with it for just a couple more months
• We celebrated Nic's 24th birthday & had all his friends & family over

November

• Finished getting all the baby stuff & got his room all ready...now just waiting

• Nichole had the worst Thanksgiving...the baby had dropped a week before, I woke up Thanksgiving morning & he was back up!! I could barley walk or eat...dang it!

December

• What a bitter/sweet month! Our puppy got hit by a car 2 days before the baby was due & he didn't make it, it was so sad!

• The 12th (mason's due date) had come & gone...9 days later we went to the womens center & I was induced. The following day at 7:30 pm I had a C-Section & we had our beautiful baby boy Mason! We brought him home the day before Christmas...best present ever!

It's been a crazy year & has had it's ups & downs. parts of it have been a struggle but it's made us grow stronger together & when we see this baby we know why we do so much & it keeps us going! Can't wait for this new year as a family & to see what it brings us!!

Mason Blake Hyer

So the 12th had come & gone...no baby yet! So on the 20th I went in to get induced, was in labor for 19 hours & the doctors finally decided to do a C-Section...longest day of my life!! But as soon as I could hear him cry & Nic could see him, it was the best feeling!!

I got to hold him for maybe 30 seconds & they took Mason away to clean him off & check him out. They took me to another room for an hour to let all my meds wear off. Nic brought him in for me to hold him & that lasted about 15 min & the nurses had to take him down to the NICU because he had low blood sugar from the long labor. I didn't get to see him the rest of that night & it was hard!

Mason stayed in the NICU until Thursday night & we were able to bring him up to our room. We got to go down and be with him as much as we wanted before that but it was hard because I was recovering from the surgery. So glad Nic was able to stay with me at the hospital every night & be there all day with me, poor guy slept on the worlds smallest couch everynight!

Finally Friday came & we got to take Mason home!! It was Christmas Eve day & Mason was the BEST Christmas present ever!!

BaBy!

Less then 11 weeks to go!! It's crazy how fast time has gone! I've finally painted the baby's room!! There's still a little more to do to it, so i'll get pictures up when it's done. I feel like i'm finally getting everything done & i'm so glad! We finally got out diaper bag & carseat, i was so excited to get them, i feel lame saying that but everytime we get more thing for this little guy I get way excited for him to get here!

Oh & we finally have it down to our top 3 names!! So glad! I think we're going to wait to see him & see what name fits best before we pick it

I haven't posted forever, but it's because there isn't alot to talk about lately! We've been stressing out a little because when this baby comes I'm going to quit working for a little bit, I'll go back hopefully soon after, even just part time, but we weren't plannin for this baby & so when we built our house we were planning on both of our income for everything. So Nic found a second job...i'm not going to lie, I hate it. He still works at Keystone Cabinets from 8-3 & then just got on at Gossner's working 4-Midnight. I guess we're lucky because some people can't even find jobs right now, but it's hard not seeing him all the time! So far he's had weekends off & so hopefully it stays that way!

15 weeks to go!!

So it's been awhile since we've posted but there's not alot to write about...so I figured I better get a picture of some kind of "baby bump" on here! So here it is! I'm just over 25 weeks now, which means this pregnancy is over half done! Can't wait to meet this little guy! I started feeling him move around 19 weeks along & now I swear I can feel him doing summer saults! Nic can feel him kick alot...it's a pretty cool feeling, i'm not going to lie tho...it's really weird when you can see your stomach move cause of it!

Now it's the hard part...we are trying to think of names, there are so many! We have a few in mind, we'll probably narrow it down to 2 or 3 and see which one fits him once he's born!

It's a BoY!!

We have a baby BOY due Dec. 12! We just found out yesterday it's a boy & we're so excited!! When we were getting the ultra sound he would keep covering up his face with his hands so in every picture we got he's covering up his face! I can' wait to meet this little guy!

AnNiVeRsErY gEtAwAy!

So this past year has gone by so so fast!! It seems like just the other day I was getting sealed to my best friend! I can't believe how much can change in one year!

Thanks for all you do Nic, i'm lucky to have you & I love you!!

Last weekend was our first anniversery...we've been so busy getting ready to move into our house & trying to save money I didn't think we were doing anything, but Nic suprised me!! We went down to Sandy & stayed in the Castle Creek Inn. It was so nice & there was chocolate & rose pedals everywhere!! It was sweet of Nic!

Our bathtub had lights in it that changed colors...it was sweet!
