4-Wheeling

Growing up we spent every weekend dirtbiking up Logan Canyon. Since Nic & I got married I think we've only been 3 times; never with Mason. I had mentioned to my dad we would LOVE to go up sometime & we finally got the chance. We took up a Rhino & 2 fourwheelers. It worked out great cause we just strapped Mase's carseat in the back seat of the Rhino & off we went!

Mason had a BLAST! He smiled and jabbered the whole time. It ended up being a 5 hour ride which none of us planned on so we were happy he did so good.

It was a long ride but we had so much fun. We had invited The Low's over for dinner at 7 and got home 6, had to shower & cook, but we did it! Sorry if it wasn't very good tho guys!!

4th of July

The 4th of July is always a crazy day for us! It's my moms birthday & there is so much going on out in Lewiston with The Hyers that we split the day with both families. We went up to the stadium on the 3rd to watch the fireworks & listen to Kansas. Mase did really good! He danced to the music, flirted with the girls behind us & kept feeding everyone popcorn whether we wanted it or not.

It was fun having the whole family there & having everyone get along. Things have changed so much from where they were last 4th of July. So glad that things are where they are now.

Mason was so excited for each firework to go off. His whole face lit up! But half way thru he started rubbing his eyes & made himself "comfy" on the cement floor with his blanket. Never fell asleep but just wanted to lay there.

On the fourth we went to Lewiston for the parade & rodeo. It was hot, and Mason got onrey...if you can't tell from Nic's face. We took a quick nap in between Lewiston & going down to my moms. Good thing cause Mason was a lot happier. We cooked dutch oven, did fireworks & played in the water. We are so glad both of our families live close so we can spend the holidays with everyone!

18 Months

We took Mason in for his 18 month check up & his what we found out:

    Weight: 23.2lbs - 20%

Height: 31 in - 20%

Head: 19 3/4- 95%

So he's still got a small body & HUGE head! Lots of stretched necks on his shrits. He is definetly changing alot! He's a water master....if there is a hose, pool, bath or sprinkler, he's a happy boy!

Mase sure loves his cartoons...only way we can keep him happy at the Dr.!

He loves to hang out with me at the shop & is such a good helper! Takes lots of baths after we have been there tho!

When I'm getting ready in the morning, he's always right by my side. He goes thru my makeup bag and tries to help me put it on. He found out where i keep it & wanted to try it himself. It was a miracle, it all ended up on his face.

Here's a few other things about Mason

• Lets you know when he's hungry by taking you to the fridge. The other day he grabbed the eggs. i offered muddy buddies but he just cried until I cooked the egg & than he was happy as can be.
• Loves his Uncle Jordan & Jesse (He'd rather be with them than anyone else)
• Still dancing all the time
• Says 1,2,3...thanks chelsie!
• Madagascar is his FAVORITE movie
• Loves to help do his own hair, brush his teeth and put his shoes on

17 Months

How is little Mason already 17 months old?! We are just counting down the weeks until nusrey! (3 left!)

He's still changing everyday, here's some fun things he does:

• Blows kisses to everybody he sees
• knows when were going to the shop, as soon as he sees it, starts to yell "Grandpa"
• When he comes to work with me he loves to help answer the phone, he picks it up, jabbers & slams it down, he watches grandpa to close.
• Only 8 teeth left to go till he's got all of them
• FINALLY got rid of the binki! :)
• Still dancing everytime music comes on
• He helps me sweep, mop & vacum, weird kid loves it!
• knows most of his animall noises (My favorite is a frog, he hops like one while saying ribbet, ya he's cool)
• When we ask Mase where his muscles are he tries to flex them for us, funniest thing ever!
• VERY independent lately...he has to hold his own cups, cracker boxes, etc. I just need to get used to the mess.
• Mason has started this new thing, wherever he goes, you go. Even if its to sit down to play with a toy. He grabs are hand and leads us there. Its getting kind of old.
• He is trying to jump lately, it's pretty funny. he wants to do it so bad but just can't get off the ground.

Mother's Day Weekend

Lucky me, Mase got to come to work with me on Thursday for a couple hours, so we ran up to Sonic & grabbed some slushies...poor picked on Mason wanted mine & his, so that's what he got!

After work we headed home to this....we're FINALLY trenching our yard for sprinklers, it'll be soo good to have done! Wes & Alex cam over to help us, so glad because it's only May & it's been a super long spring for Nic & I working outside!

Friday was Jewel's birthday so Mandee & I had the brilliant idea to make her a cute cake...it wasnt that cute. That's why there are no pictures. Morghan, the cute little girl in the picture below would have frosted it better than we did. Pretty sure of it. We were doing good until the tip we were frosting with broke off into the cake & frosting went everywhere. ugh.

Saturday Mase was going a little stir crazy around the house, so we took off to Riverdale for a few hours. I forgot my camera & wish I would have remembered it! He had so much fun!

That night we went to Alex & Mandee's for burgers. I wish we had grass. Little Hailen & Mase ran around all night!

On Mothers Day, Mase came running in the bathroom while i was getting ready for church, gave me a bag & ran away. It was cute. My boys spoiled me :) Nic said Mason told him he was sick of me blaming him & getting mad at him for my pants not fitting so to fix it they got me a gift card to go buy some new ones! Thanks boys :)

Of course we went & visited both families. We had dinner with Nic's family, everyone was there but Ryans family. It was fun seeing everyone! Then when we got to my parents, Mase had to jump....

 

and ride the fourwheeler....

and make everyone push him in his car cause he couldn't move it very good on the grass.

It was an awesome day...he even let us fit a nap in! Hope everyone had a Happy Mothers Day!

Summer Projects

After a LONG day of work & grocery shopping, I came home to this. We were expecting a large pile of gravel, but not for 2 more days. This is our new summer project, extending our driveway & laying down a sprinkler system.

Mason thought the pile of gravel was the greatest thing ever!

He also like to help us. When he saw us shoveling into the wheel barrow, he had to get handfuls of rocks to add throw into it. He also has a new fetish with our broom & mop...as you can see from the picture, it's time to buy a new mop. 

Jordan & Jesse came by to help do the driveway, so glad because it was a big job!

Here's the finished product..for now. Eventually it'll be concrete, not gravel but it works for now & gives us lots more room to park cause we had a dinky little driveway!

                                                

Spring Time!

Can I just say...Easter is SOO much fun with a kid!! Mase had way more fun than he did on Christmas!

We had dinner at my parents & after did an easter egg hunt for Mason. He knew exactly what he was doing & picked up every single egg!

Mason dropped an egg & saw candy fall out of it, after that the egg hunt was over & he had to open every egg.

We went to Baby Animal Days with Jess & Justin, Mase liked the little Ducks than after that, he had enough! He only tried to strangle the poor little thing once. We waited in line to see the bears for an hour, they were cute, but I don't think I have patience for that ever again!

Mase loves to ride on fourwheelers & Go Carts! He throws a fit when we shut them off. He definently gets his own way!

As of lately...

I try & keep this blog updated a couple times a month but haven't found the time to do it! I also do good at taking lots of pictures, but suck at that lately to! So here's a quick re-cap of March!

The Pitchers invited us up to their cabin for St. Patricks Day weekend, it was lots of fun! Lots of games, food & laughing! Also lots of crying! Mason started getting sick friday & we debated on bailing out last minute and just keeping him home. We ended up going & little Mase was a trooper! He didn't sleep at all during the night & was running a fever...long night for Nic & I! Luckly no one could hear him all night.

Mase did pretty good as long as he was being held the whole time & that is not like him at all! He likes to go & go. He's a pretty independent little guy! It made for a long weekend but we had fun & definently want to do it again!

This is Hailen...Cortney & Chae Geary's little girl. Mandee gets her one night a week & we try and get the kids together. They have so much fun! Plus it's a bonus to be able to catch up with Mandee & listen to all her wedding plans!! (Can't wait for her to marry Alex!!)

Mase never cares about this chair...until Hailen wanted to be in it. He wouldn't leave the chair when she was around. Jealous much?

He's always bonking his head...never slows him down though!!

 Mase never got better after we left the cabin. We thought he had a bad cold & ended up taking him to the Dr after he'd been sick a week. Well he's got an ear infection, no wonder he hasn't been sleeping! You would never know that's whats wrong...he doesn't care when you touch his ear & he is still pretty happy. He's been on medicine for a couple days & it's worked magic!!

Mase turned 15 months in March & he's just changing every day. He knows most of his animal noises & loves to repeat what we say. He's a handful! Takes after his dad! Mason loves to come spend time with me at work...or "papa's"! He gets so much attention there & makes a mess of everything! But that's our little boy!
