Chruch time!

Can I just take a few minutes & complain?! Chruch lately is AWFUL!! If we sit on the benches, Mason stands up on bench, turns around & thinks he needs to entertain everyone in sight. It's not bad if he's just smiling at the people behind us or sharing his toys, but once he starts jumping on the bench, yelling/growling (growling is his new favorite noise to make) or throwing toys it gets old real fast! And it doesnt help that most the people in our ward act like they don't know us or are too old & think we are probably awful parents. He's doing this new thing where he thinks if he drops a toy or bottle he can use it as an excuse get down & get it. It gets better...after he gets down off the bench he realizes he can crawl under it or wander off. If I try & stop him he just cries & throws a fit. He drops his head down & starts banging it on the floor. He kills me! I take books, snacks, toys...etc. Nothing works! Oh well...I'm hoping this long...& drawn out phase will pass one day soon. I don't expect him to sit still for the whole time I just need him to settle down a little bit. & Naps are definently out of the question! Any advice?! I could use it! And peferably before sunday! Don't get me wrong, I love Mase & his going going going personalitly. He his so funny & the first 20 mins of sacrament aren't too bad. He also loves to dance to the choir and hymns & it's the funnies thing i've ever seen! But man I hate going to church lately. We last thru sacrament than go home for nap time.

Update on Lil' Mase...He is so funny! He's always getting our attention to make us laugh! He gives kisses & blows them too! He still does his fake laugh everytime someone laughs, he's also learned to "fake cry". I pretend to cry & he pulls the funniest face & acts like he's crying. He's also learning temper tantrums. You tell him no, the throws his little body to the floor & starts banging his head on the floor over & over. Where the heck did he learn that?! He's got 10 teeth & 2 more about ready to come thru. Wish they would so we could get some sleep in the Hyer home! When we ask Mase to get us a diaper he'll go to his room & come back with one in his hand, he runs away when it's time to change him tho. He has a fetish with shoes lately & it grosses me out. I hate feet. He tries to put them on himself or on dad. He does a pretty good job!

I had to take Mason to work with me last week a couple times & he has an attention span of like 3 mins. It makes it sooo hard. I'm SOO thankful for our sitter Stephanie! She's awesome, i don't know how she does it with so many kids. I pull up Mickey Mouse Club online & he will sit & watch it until he sees grandpa walk by. Then he's out of the chair & following him around. Speaking of Grandpa...Mason LOVES him! We pull up to Bakers & he says "pa-pa". When anyone tries to take him away from Grandpa he shakes head no & he's not going anywhere.

The Holidays

I feel like with Masons Birthday I haven't put much thought into the holidays & blogging about them. It is so weird having his birthday 4 days before Christmas. But even with it close we had a lot of fun for celebrating both his birthday & the holidays! We started it off with an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party the Low's put together. There was lots of games, food & ugly sweaters! Most of them looked like some I could find in my grandma's closet! They gave an award for the "Ugliest Sweater" & Nic got won it with his nasty pjs/sweater!

Mase was quiet the onrey butt after awhile! He got tired but of course he loves to entertain so no sleeping for him till we got home...dang kid!

We did white elephant gifts & Jlow got a toilet seat...Mason would not leave that thing alone. Proabably cause he wants to play in the real toilet at home so bad!

This was Masons 2nd Christmas but it felt like the first! He got an Elmo Kitchen & lots of toys! Spoiled boy!

He loved it, even tho you can't tell from the picture! He was a tired kid!

For New Years Eve we had everyone over to play games & play Just Dance. It was fun to have everyone over! I do not know how Mason stayed asleep!

Masonator!

The past week Mase hasn't been sleeping good at all, he cries all night but is still half asleep! He is a total grouch during the day & it's wearing on Nic & I so bad!! We took him into the Dr. for his year check up & found out he had fluid in his ears, no infection yet. It made me feel bad for thinking he was just being cranky! They gave him some antibiotics to clear it up & now he is back to him happy/hyper/monster self! That medicine is nasty stuff...its a chore to get him to take it. I told Nic, "you got to mix it with some yogurt or it's not going in his mouth". He tried to prove me wrong. It ended up everywhere but his mouth. Lesson learned.

Mase still isn't gaining weight, he's at 19.5lbs. Which shocks me cause he's a pig!! He can't go an hour with out some kind of food! He walking all over the place & never sits still. When he brings his blanket over & wants to sit with you for a whole 20 seconds, its SOOO nice! but it ends quick & hes off running around again. Man, he wears me out!! So the weight thing doesn't concern me too much cause he's always going...going...going.It was funny cause both his weight & height were in the 15% and his head is still in the 85%!! Geez this kids got a big head...seriously, his shirts do not go over his head. We have to put him in button up shirts or you can't get the shirt back off. Ha hopefully one day he will grow into it...poor thing!! Oh well...its cute!

1 Year Old

We just celebrated Mason's 1st birthday yesterday, I can't believe it's been a whole year already! It's been fun to look back on my blog & see how much he changes from month to month. He's so fun & has the sweetest personality. I love how much he's starting to learn & progress, but at the same time it makes me kinda sad to see how fast time goes by. Here's a few facts about Mason

He walks all over the place, he hasn't crawled in probably a month now
He says cracker, dad, papa (grandpa) & please (pease)
He's got a mouth full of teeth, 4 on top, 4 on the bottom
He LOVES The Mickey Mouse Club, he dances with the songs in it
He's starting to mimic everything which has been fun cause he's not not done that too much
Mase gives kisses, there open mouth, but i LOVE them!
No more formula!! Wahoo!! I think we'll be saving about $55 dollars a month...he's a pig!
He will try & try to get your attention, & he loves to make people laugh at him

For his birthday I had Chelsie come over & help me make cake balls, i was so excited cause I read recipes online & everyone said how easy they were. NOT TRUE!! The cake ball part was easy, it was the frosting them that sucked. Mandee tried to help frost them & it was not happening. I think we went thru 10 of them before giving up. We ended up just having cupcakes. Dang cakeballs.

I had Chelsie help me take the pictures in the post before of Mason eating the cake, I was thinking he was going to be shy at his actual birthday...but he wasn't. He first started to eat the cake without his hands...just went head first into it.

He was excited to open presents....he kind of just looked at them until we showed him what to do, then he was all over it! He didn't want to let his new toys go until he realized he had a new one to open...even then it was a hastle to get the toy away. He was so fun & lit up everytime he opened a present. He also LOVED the attention of everyone watching him & if you turned your head he would just keep watching you until you watched him. He's got such a funny personality & knows how to get exactly what he wants. I remember thinking how crazy our lives were going to be & change when we found out we were having Mason, but now I think back & can't remember what it was like without him. He's been the best thing thats happened to us & he brings so much happiness (& sleepless nights) into our home. Love you Mason, Happy Birthday!

I was reading Kasey Williams blog & saw she had taken pictures of their cute little boy Ryder eating cake before his birthday, i thought that was a good idea because he was shy at his birthday party. So we decided to do the same for Mason. I think I had more fun watching him than he did eating the cake. He wasnt sure about it at first but then realized it was all his & scarfed that cake down!

11 Months

Where has time gone?! Mason is 11 months old now & nothing has changed, he is still all over the place!! I can't believe he's almost 1!!! Here's some fun facts about him

He pushes his car around so he can climb onto things & get things out of his reach
He is a flirt when it comes to girls...he smiles then he burries his face into your shoulder pretending to be embarassed, when we know he's not!
Mase has learned how to turn his tears on at the drop of a hat when he doesn't get his way, but only until he's disracted by something else in the room.
He still only says dad, hi, dog & cracker
Mason has learned how to start walking. He takes about 6 steps before falling down. He has this ball that he can stand up with & he chaces it around the house (but won't in front of Grandma!)
He has this fake laugh he does...if he hears you laugh he does it, it's the funniest thing i've seen!
He has "yelling" matches. Jlow was over the other night & they kept yelling back & forth, Mase is quiet a character.
Mason goes to sleep pretty good! 8:30 comes & he's soo ready for bed!
He loves to help with laundry. He will pull it all out of the dryer for me, even when the clothes are still wet.
When you tell him "NO" he starts shaking his head no at you
He can finally say the whole "uh-oh" after 4 months of just the 'Uh..."
He still shakes his thing to Rhianna
He cruises up & down the stairs

We went to Mandee's sisters wedding reception over the weekend & they had a photo booth there & we had some fun with it! Mase wasn't sure what to think!

On Sunday we had the Watsons come over to watch the Bears & Chargers game, we always say that Braylen is Masons girlfriend, well we got the pictures to prove it now! She went to give him a kiss & he opened his mouth for her, I can't believe we got a picture of it!

Mason LOVES guys...he always wants attention from Nics friends. He's always been a fan of Justin Hyer, now he is of Jlow too! && he likes Alex, but i think he just confuses him!!

Halloween Weekend

This was Mason's first Halloween & I'm pretty sure he cared less about it, but it was fun to dress him up & go show him off! We had a fun weekend before Halloween. All of Nics family went to the Hyers for dinner & Mase got to play with all his cousins. He loved trying to find them buried in the leaves.

We love when we have Kamryn & Morgan around because we can give them Mason the whole time & not worry about a thing. They LOVE him & are the best babysitters ever!

We stopped at the park & took some pictures of Mason playing in the leaves. He is the biggest punk, he was so happy & laughing in the car, we get there & could hardly get a smile. So we're lucky we got the 5 pictures we did.

We have pumpkins on our front porch & Mase thought that the top coming off was the most interesting thing in the world. He got it off & tried & tried his hardest to put it back. This is the end result, he did pretty dang good!

Halloween finally came & we got to dress Mason up as a Monkey! (We only had a costume waiting to be worn for the past 2 months) We made some cookies & took him around to close friends & family to show him off. He wasn't thrilled about the costume but he liked all the attention!

The Chargers were playing Halloween & so of course we had to bust out the jersey...this is Mase doing his "touch down". Mase & I were super tired and went to bed at 9, Nic stayed up to watch the game. They lost...not going to lie, i'm glad we were in bed & fast asleep! Happy Halloween Mase! It was fun!

10 Months Old

How weird!! My baby is already 10 Months old....it's going by way too fast but I'm loving every minute of it! It's crazy how much he's changed in the last month. He's so smart & has the funniest personality! Here's some fun facts about Mason

He loves to sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" & tries to do the actions by himself...he does a pretty good job!
When we yell "TOUCH DOWN" he throws his arms in the air
He walks all around the furniture & occasionally will try and stand up by himself (SOO NOT READY FOR THAT)
He will pull everything out of drawers & cupboards just to empty it
He still has the curliest hair!
He LOVES dogs & he can say the word "DOG" also says hi, dad & cookie
He scrunches his nose up & when he does you know he wants to wrestle you
He likes to share his binki & food
Brushing his teeth...Mase holds his own tooth brush and knows what to do. He doesnt just suck on the tooth brush, he actually trys to brush!
When I tell Mase "Dads home" & he crawls into the kitchen and just stares at the door till it opens.
He "helps" with laundry. While I fill the dryer, he emptys it.
He is like a bottemless pit...he's NEVER full...he now weighs in at 20 lbs
Bathtime is a chore...he loves it but thinks its so fun to stand up then drop down on his butt to make a big splash!
Climbs in & out of his toy box
Pushes his toys up against things like the bar so he can stand on it & reach things at the top
He makes car noises...how in the world does he know how to do that? No one has taught him & everytime he pushes something around he does it!
Picks up cell phones and holds to his ear and has coversations with himself

Halloween Party

Finally....we got some use out of Mason's Halloween costume! We went down to the Watsons Halloween Party Friday night. We debated on staying home cause Mase had been sick but he seemed better that day. He proved us wrong! He was the most whiney kid I've seen! Poor guy & poor mom & dad! He turns into a klutz when he gets sleepy and doesn't feel good, kept falling and just cried and cried. But with all that aside, we had fun! We had lots of food & pumpkin carving contest, of course Nic carved a Chargers sign in his & now it's displayed on our front porch! :) awesome. It was a quiet ride home, Mase was out within 5 mins of putting him in the car. We say it everytime, but we wish we lived closer! They need to just come move to Cache Valley! Thanks for the fun Halloween Party Bri & Jac! That is one cute Mini Mouse you have! :)

Cornmaze

This weekend has probably been the most eventful weekend we've had in a long time. Sad, I know! Nic is back to working just one job & it's been so nice to have him around at night! We went to the cornmaze with Justin & Jess, JLow & Chelsie & Brooke & Cody. It was fun to get out & see JLow & Chels...it's been way too long & we've missed them!

We took Mason with us, we didn't realize it was haunted & so we were hoping Mason wouldn't cry everytime someone screamed! He did awesome! He was super happy & made it fun! I think I only screamed like 6 times! After the cornmaze we went to Jess's place & watched a "scary movie"! It's sad how scary people in the 80's got!! I don't know about anyone else but Mase & I just slept. Good times!

SuPeRMaN

We've learned this past week that Mason thinks he's ~~superman~~ & can do anything he wants. His favorite is to dive off the couch or crawl into the drawer under the hot stove. He's had a very eventful week:

Got shots on thursday
Pulled a VERY HEAVY vase on his foot & shatterd glass everywhere on friday

Sunday he learned how to shake our bar stools & tiped it over on his head, cut it pretty good!

Tries to crawl down stairs...ends up rolling down them

Smashes fingers in drawers probably twice a day

We watch him, it's not like we want him doing these things...but I guess boys will be boys? Even at 9 Months!! We're hoping he'll learn his lesson...but he's showing no signs of caring at all. If you watch the video, falling down the stairs doesn't even phase him & he's ready to go again. It makes me think of how lucky I am there's only one of him...haha I don't know how you did it with Nic & Alex Jewel...I now understand why Nic always says there is a special spot in heaven waiting for you just for raising them!!

9 Months Already!

Here's a little update on Mason, he just turned 9 months. Our little man is changing so fast & sometimes I wish life could just stop for a minute!

Weights18lbs 10oz...he's only gained 8oz in the last 3 months
Height = 28 1/2"
Head is still in the 90%
Mase has curly hair & we have no idea where it came from
He loves to dance
He will eat everything & loves to make a mess while doing it
When he cries he says mom
He sleeps thru the night
Loves to play "patty cake" & will copy you while doing it
He's starting to make messes as you see in the picture with toilet paper & spagetti sauce!
He's learning the word "NO" and he will fake cry to try & get his way
Babbles outloud to everyone
He likes to jump in his crib
Thinks it's funny to fall off the couch
Walks around furniture & stands up against everything
We're trying to teach him Uh-Oh...but all he says is "Uh-..." he tries tho!!
He loves his dad!! He is always sooo nice & never cries for him!
He's got 6 teeth
He's shy...he won't laugh out loud, he always covers his face when you try to make it happen!
He thinks the stove drawer is his...we're constantlly getting him out of it & telling him to not touch
Talks on the cell phone
Loves the bath...he's a little speed crawler & when he hears that water he comes pretty quick for the bath!
He'll share his sucker, binki, bottle...anything that goes in his mouth...Thanks Mase, but no thanks!

I need to put a different CD in, not only is this song not the best for him to learn but it's getting old REAL FAST!! He get camera shy, i need to hide it in his room to record him sometime!

Muddy Child!

Sometimes I swear, life is NEVER going to slow down. All we've done this summer is work on putting a yard in & it looks like we haven't done anything...it's starting to make me crazy!! We had mud all over the driveway & was washing it off...Mason wanted to be in that mud so bad so we finally gave in...& this is the results...

Last week I had a bridal shower for Ashely...thanks to everyone who came! I can't believe she's getting married in 2 days!! It's been so fun getting to know her a lot the past year since she's lived with my parents! We're so happy for her!

Mason update: he's now 81/2 months old & still into everything! His favorite place, still the bathroom. I've always got to keep the door closed. So that's when he goes to the next best place, the drawer under the stove. It doesn't matter how many toys you buy him, he loves that drawer more than a fat kid loves cake!

He stands up against everything and walks around the furniture. Mason has a new bruise every other day; he thinks he can let go of the chair he standing against...it never ends good. He's getting so funny, he just jabbers & he's finally starting to laugh out loud more, He used to get shy and cover his mouth so you couldn't see him laugh or smile but its starting to change.

On Sunday we had Cailen, Justin & Jess over for the Chargers Game, good thing they won so I had a happy husband the rest of the day!! I forgot to buy a roast the night before so sunday morning I ran to the store to get one, came home to Mason & Nic both in the Chargers gear, Chargers blankets hung over the railing as decorations, footballs on the floor....he was a little excited! It was like watching a little kid on Christmas, he was so happy for the game!! It's going to be a looonnnngg season :)

While i'm talking about football, Nic's birthday is coming up & i'm looking for a shadow box so i can put a jersey, tickets & a few things in it from the game we went to like the picture below, anyone know where to but a big one for cheap? Hobby Lobby is expensive!! Our FB & Blog has both our names on it but we all know he doesn't know how to use it or even care so let me know if you see anything!!

It gets easier

I was getting my hair done by Chrishel (she does an awesome job btw!!) & saw Kelszi's cute new baby girl Luxi! She's adorable!! We were talking about how she sleeps & it made me think how things have gotten easier with Mason...but harder at the same time!

EASIER: Sleep. As hard as it is to believe at first, you will eventually be able to sleep somewhat soundly while baby is sleeping. You'll no longer wake at every tiny snort or cough. You will not leap out of bed multiple times through out the night to get bottles, binkis & diapers.

HARDER: Sleep. Your baby will stop spending 95% of his time sleeping. You'll be consumed with getting him to sleep & keeping him asleep.

EASIER: Changing diapers. Eventually your baby will not go thru 12-14 diaprers & 1/2 a dozen outfits a day. He might even sleep thru the night with just one diaper!

HARDER: Changing diapers. Once your baby starts eating solid foods, the urge to gag while changing a dirty diaper may become ~~uncontrollable.~~ Plus, the baby is no longer willing to lie on his back for 10 seconds and will try and get away violently, most the time they do!

I've learned alot the past 8 months with Mason, things you should & should not do! Like,

If you accidentally wake a sleeping baby, never make eye contact! Seriously, It’s more dangerous than looking directly at the sun.

If choosing between the newest & coolest toy & a random household object, the baby will always pick the spatula, remote or the toilet-paper tube.

Don’t care that Dad is the favorite. That way, when they are crying early in the morning they cry for Dad, and Mom can stay in bed

And the list can go on & on....! Mason is now 8 months old & into everything! He's sure getting a fun personality! Mason loves attention, he's always trying to get it & usually does. The video below is of Mason after being asleep in bed for 20 mins tops...we go thru this for about an hour every night. We just let him bounce around till he falls asleep!

Who wants my kid!!

Looking for childcare sucks. Especially part-time childcare for the under-2 set. I’m a working mom. Now that Mason is crawling & getting into everything, I can’t take him to work with me all day. Mason doesn’t tolerate long phone calls, he gets annoyed when I’m working on the computer. He’s even been known to rip the mouse out of my hand and bite it with all 4 teeth.

Sure, I could probably find a job in the evenings and on weekends. Except that I have this thing called a husband & he occasionally likes to spend time with me when he has a night off. Exchanging text messages over the baby’s head as he flings peas from the high chair doesn’t exactly count as quality time, you know what I’m saying?

For the past 4 months, I’ve had Kassidy watch Mason & that’s been great, but she’s starting school Monday so I’ve been on the look out for a new sitter. I’ve asked at church, friends, asked friends of friends and sisters of neighbors, online…The result? Nada.

People either want more money or more hours. Finally I called a childcare locator service, they dug around in their database and gave me some numbers for in-home day care centers. I called them all. They either didn’t have any openings for infants or weren’t accepting part-timers. A couple said they might have openings in October…I need one now!

I don’t need an early-childhood education major. I don’t care if the sitter engages Mason in “age-appropriate” activities or teaches him sign language. I just need someone to chase him around the house, stop him from eating pennies he finds on the floor & just keep him alive until I’ve done a couple hours of work.

TIP O’ THE WEEK: Become independently wealthy.

Crazy Couple Weeks!

We've had a busy couple of weeks. We are finally doing our lawn...I went home for lunch & there was a HUGE pile of dirt sitting in front of our house (Nic's cousin Lacie calls it brown gold & we now understand...too much money!!) Nic & I spent like 4 hours on Saturday spreading it out, we didn't have a sitter so we put Mace on the neighbors grass, that lasted 2 mins...his new favorite thing to eat is dirt & rocks. Tuesday night we were trying to finish it up & this guy drove by with a tractor & asked if we wanted help...well duh! He did it in like 20 min...where was he on Saturday?! So we thought we were done, well the next day 2 more truck loads of dirt showed up, so we called out new friend & trust me, it was definently worth paying him to do it all!!
Mason is now all over the place!! He has learned to stand up against everything, the wall, couches, me...everything. He opens drawers, turns on our radio...he's into everything. He's getting fun, but WOW....we're just always going going going with him!!

My friend Kassidy (she's Masons babysitter....& he absolutly LOVES her!!!) well she had a paparazzi jewelry party & I was putting Mason in the bath to go. He thinks it's funny to stand up in the bathtub & jump up & down....we're still trying to teach him "no"...haha it's going well, not. He was jumping up & down & biffed it right into the side of the bathtub. He hit his mouth & it was bleeding so bad & got a fat lip. I felt so bad, hopefully he learned his lesson! ~~He did sleep good that night!!~~ I wish I could have gone, she did get me a couple of super cute bracelets!!

We went over to Randy & Crishels for dinner one night & watched a movie, it was fun! We need to start doing stuff with them more often!! Randy even cooked...what a good husband he is!!

Hoggle Zoo

We took Mason to Hoggle Zoo on Saturday & met up with our friends Brian, Jacquelyn & their cute little girl Braelyn...(there is an arranged marriage for her & Mace..haha.) It was fun to see them, they live in Bountiful so we see each other probably every 6 months, wish they lived closer! Mason liked the monkeys but that was about it. He just rode in the stroller & did his own thing. About 2 hours after being there it was definently time to go, Mason was getting tired but that stubborn boy won't sleep in the stroller.

We tried to get Mason to look at the elaphants but they didn't move very fast so he wasn't intrested. He thought the people around him were more interesting then the animals.

And this is the cute Braelyn!! a.k.a. Mace's girlfriend...she's the cutest little girl I've EVER seen!

After the zoo we headed over to the Watson's house that they've been remodeling & it looks so good! It takes them alot of time & effort & they have done a lot to it, haha it makes us feel lame for complaining about getting our yard done! We went to dinner at the Pizza Factory...so good! I could just eat their breadsticks the whole time!! Braelyn was so funny, she figured out how to shake the table & Mason was just mad cause he wasn't getting enough food, go figure! Like I said at the first, we wish they lived closer, they have gone through alot of the same stuff we have & we can relate to them alot!

On Sunday we were over at the Hyers & going thru Nic's old pictures, we came across one of him in a Broncos Jersey...can you believe it?! So I had to take a picture to prove it because I was shocked! He swears he doesn't remember it! Our family is definently Chargers Fans & seeing him in that jersery about killed him! Football season is about here & it makes me laugh because there's always commercials for DirecTV saying if you sign up or move you get free NFL Sunday Ticket...that ticks Nic off!! He called and complained because he's pretty mad that we've been customers for awhile now & we still have to pay like $300 for it...poor Nic, guess we'll just be watching televised games for now! I had Friday off work and so I decided to Mason to the pool for the first time & he absolutely loved it! My mom went with us. At first he thought he needed to drink that nasty water...after about 10 mins of trying to get him to stop he realized he could play in it. There was a little girl who kept playing with him & he just laughed the whole time. I wish I didn’t have to work as much so I could take him more! I’m hoping to start getting off early on Wednesdays so we can go more! :) Towards the end he was getting so tired & looked like he was going to fall asleep so I took him out & he just cried. He did not want to leave! But after 2 hours it was time to go! We were in the car for probably 2 mins & he was out!

4^th of July weekend was a blast!! It was my mom’s birthday so we spent the day at her house. We had family over, cooked out & played games. She got spoiled!! She took Mason on his first four-wheeler ride & he absolutely loved it!! That night we went out to the big town of Lewiston to watch fireworks. Justin & Jess were at their grandparents watching from the back yard & so we met up with them! Poor Mason was just so tired & wanted to sleep during them so after crying awhile from trying to keep him up we finally let him sleep. I’m sure next year he’ll like them a lot more! We had fun being with Just & Jess! They are such a fun couple & Mason LOVES them!!

Kenny Chesney…can I just say AMAZING!! Alex & Mandee invited us to go with them & we had a blast! We have never been away from Mason for the night & so it was a first because we stayed with Mandee & Alex at a hotel. Where to begin…how about Alex’s driving…haha if I were in the front seat instead of the back I would have been totally fine, but I get SOO motion sick!! My stomach was not feeling to good!! We went to eat, I told them I didn’t care just to pick a place, well that wasn’t the best idea, we went to Red Lobster. I hate fish. Crab. Shrimp. Anything that lives in the water…YUCK! Luckly, the night did progress! We checked into the hotel & hung out with some friends until the concert. We missed Uncle Kracker but got to see Billy Currington & Kenny! They were awesome! It was so much fun! Alex is quite the dancer!

We ran into Chrishel & Randy and had them come sit with us, it was fun having them there!! After the concert we made it to The Puck for dinner like 3 min before the grill closed, they’ve got some dang good food, better then NASTY Red Lobster, then off to the hotel! We got up the next morning & headed home, we missed Mace so it was good to go get him from my mom’s!!

6 Month Update

We took Mason in for his 6 month check up Friday…this kid weighs 18 lbs 1 oz now, I was a little surprised, he feels like he weighs a lot more! It’s crazy to see how much he’s learned & changed over the past 6 months. He loves walks & loves to be outside! He’s rolling all over & now doing the “army crawl” so when he wants something, he gets it. He loves food, as you can see in his cheeks! Anytime he sees someone take a drink or sees a cup sitting close he wants it. He’ll try all he can to get to it & let you know when he’s not happy that you won’t share. Mason does this new thing when he’s mad where he holds his breath & spits while he cries…it’s actually funny & it makes me not feel too bad for him. He loves popsicles, strawberries, suckers, pickles, snow cones, crackers…you name it, and he’ll eat it! He's got his 2 bottom teeth & those things are sharp! Poor kids always cutting his fingers. We've been watching his eyes because they are mostly brown but the left one has lots of blue in it, I don't think they're going to be just one color. It looks like ones stayin blue & one brown! He’s saying ba-ba, da-da, ga-ga…all sorts of weird noises we just wish he knew what the da-da meant! He’ll figure it out soon I’m sure! Mason loves attention; he likes to entertain whoever will look at him at church. He gets the biggest grin once someone makes eye contact with him, then he yells & you know they smiled at him. (just like the picture below) Mason is learning to wave, we wave bye to him & he copies most of the time.

He LOVES his dad, Nic can walk in the room & Masons face just lights up! He’ll be all but asleep & Nic will say something & if Mason hears that voice, his eyes shoot wide open! He’s turning into a curious little boy! He loves the water! We take him to the lake & he’s just happy as can be! He always wants to do something different, he doesn’t let us just stay in the house & relax anymore! Time flies…I can’t believe he’s already 6 months it’s just getting more fun every day & he makes us so happy! We love you Mase!

Mason is now all over the place! He's been rolling all over for the last 2 months & now he's starting his "army crawl" and he's getting pretty darn good at it! Especially if there is a remote or phone in front of him. Nic made us a little entertainment center for under our TV because Mason always finds the cords, it looks like we're going to be adding doors to the front of it because now he's finding the dvds...and he puts them all over the place. I wish he still had intrest in his own toys! It's been fun to see how much he's changed! He's so curious of everything! Mase is already 6 months but we take him into his check up on friday...we can't wait to see how much this kid weighs...we sure feed him enough!

Twin Lakes

Over the weekend we went out to Twin Lakes, Nic's parents were camping out there & we thought it'd be fun to get some sun & let Mason play in the water. We bought him a swimsuit with a cute matching hat & flip flops....once we were there we put on hoodies & Mason's p.j.s....it WAS NOT good weather! We still had a blast! It was fun to get out!

The water was way too cold to even let Mase put his feet in, but he still loved to watch it.

Mason LOVES dogs...we stuck him on the cage & the poor kid didn't know what to do.

We're sooo glad Kortney & Stacie were there to entertain Mason. He wanted nothing to do with his own toys, he'd just play with Kortney's glasses & hat.

Mason has his first 2 teeth in!! We try & try to take pictures of them but he sticks his tounge out when we try (like this)

or he won't let us near his mouth...he's learning to bite, which is no fun when he's sucking on a cracker & you've got to get it out of his mouth before he chokes on it, those are some sharp teeth! He's constantly biting his fingers & he cuts them, it looks likes he's got little paper cuts all over his fingers now. he's obviously fine because he should be smart enough to take his fingers out of his mouth if it hurts...we hope anyway!

The 6th was our 2nd wedding anniversary; I can’t believe time has flown by so fast! I feel extremely blessed to be married to my best friend, Nic. He’s such an amazing man! For our anniversary we were able to give up the baby for a night & have a nice dinner without having to hold him the whole time! (Thanks Nana!)

Our Story

Nic & I grew up in the same neighborhood together, he was 3 years older than me & the only time I was around him was at church or when him, Alex & all their friends would come over to the house to hang out with my parents. Not once did he ever look at me as anything more than Glenn’s daughter. He had a girlfriend & went on his mission & I had a bf. Well things sure changed when he got home. We know what happens to boys when they have a girlfriend on a mission...it didn’t work out.

We can thank our friends Kazia & Cody for hooking us up! I hadn’t even talked to Nic since he got home & the night I broke up with the old boyfriend I called Kazia...she did some talking to Cody & when I showed up at home, Nic happened to be there, not going to lie, he was the last person I really wanted to see that night. But as he was leaving the house he invited anyone who wanted to watch a movie over to Alex’s. When my brother volunteered to go & Nic told him no, I knew to take the hint & go.

Long story short, we hung out every night since that movie & got engaged just less than a year later.

Crazy how much life has changed & what has come our way...but we love it & thru the thick & thin we will always be there for each other. Love you Nic!

Nic had to work all weekend so Mason & I spent the day at Mac Park...I think it's the first time he's ever felt grass because we are working on putting a lawn in at our house now...but that's a whole other story we don't want to get into. With the economy being as wonky as it has been lately, I often find myself wondering how everyone else makes it. I’m going to be honest here, as it’s certainly nothing to be ashamed of… we are on a very strict budget and I have had to majorly cut back on spending. Pretty much every unnecessary thing (my beloved pedicures, tanning, hair touch-ups every 6 weeks, clothes shopping, etc.) has been put on pause.

We’ve come up with little tricks to save money and I’m actually really proud of how well we’re doing. It’s pretty insane when you have to be thrifty… you realize how much money you were just throwing away without realizing it!

Though I do strongly feel someone should give me a gold star for all my hard work, the one thing I haven’t quite nailed down in the money saving department is grocery shopping. It is the bane of my existence, and quite honestly makes me want to stab myself in the eyes. I seriously hate it.
No matter how much planning, list-making, and leftover-eating I do… I still feel like we waste so much of what we buy.

The one big lesson I’ve learned is this: Do NOT shop while you’re hungry. I’ve made this mistake so many times and it’s left me with the most random array of items in my fridge that I can’t cook any meal with. I need to get this down!

Mason rolls ALL over the place now!! I've never had to worry about leaving him on the couch or the floor because he wasn't mobile...but that is all changing! When I go into the kitchen & come back he's moved across the room, he gets his leg stuck under the couch all the time...poor kid can't figure out how to not lift it up & he won't get stuck. The best is when i change his diaper...as soon as that things off he's a happy kid & thinks he's done & can go where he wants!!

We put his toys all over the floor....he wants the stools or anything else sitting on the floor, like the clock before i hung it up

He also finds the swing...and he'll just lay under it and swing it with his feet, crazy kid!!

Most of you ladies already know how this works, but I thought I’d let all my newly-married friends in on the process. It doesn’t take very long to master.

Go shopping with a friend.
Find overpriced outfit and fall in love. Friend says it makes your boobs look bigger, your butt look smaller and your legs look longer. Have you been working out?
Purchase outfit. And coordinating accessories. Aaaaand those new heels (they were 40% off, you savvy shopper, you).

Part ways with friend. Drive home alone in your car. In the silence and solitude, reality suddenly hits….recall how your husband reacted to your last big purchase.
Sweat profusely.
Remember your fail-safe plan and immediately relax.
Stop by the store and pick up your husband’s favorite drink. Actually, make that two, because you’re that thoughtful.

Make it home before your husband does. Leave all shopping bags in your trunk except the one with the shoes. You will be using them as a prop later on.
Go inside, set husband’s drink next on the side table next to his favorite chair. Turn on the football game.

Slip into your fabulous new heels.
Husband comes home and is delighted by your thoughtfulness. Ask him if he noticed your new shoes. Tell him that they were on sale. Tell him his muscles look bigger today. Tell him he’s your favorite. BUTTER HIM UP, GOOD.

Let him watch the game and enjoy his drink.

5 Months!!

Our baby is already 5 months old....it's so crazy!! I love to look back on our pictures & see how much he has changed. He's now rolling ALL over the place, he tries to scoot himself forward, but no luck with that yet, he just turns himself around. Mason can hold his own bottle & that is VERY convienent! He's always laughing & smiling...we just wish the bottom teeth would finish coming thru so we don't have to keep getting up with him all night. I still take him to work but it's yime for a change!! We need a sitter....

Mason has started sleeping a lot longer in the mornings and it's soo nice because it gives me time to get ready for work & weekends are even better because we get to sleep in...till at least 8:30...SWEET!

Mandee's Run!

Mandee Geary had a heart transplant years ago & started an awareness run years ago. Alex has been dating her for quiet awhile now & so we all ran/walked it for her. We decided to pull out the stroller & push Mason in it. It was fun, too bad the weather was HORRIBLE!! It was sooo cold & snowed the whole time! Of course about a 1/2 hour later it quit snowing & was a nice sunny day!

We started feeding Mason "solids"...aka nasty mashed up food! He WILL NOT eat the rice cereal...he just smiles & lets it fall down his face. We mix it with different things but it doesn't help. He loves the other stuff tho! So far he's eating the peas & carrots, no problem! We feed him just in a diaper tho cause it's a HUGE mess!

Mason loves to help us feed him. He holds the spoon everytime & gets so excited when he sees it. It makes such a mess, but if we hold his hands down, he wont eat. Stubborn child.

4 Month Update!

Mason is already 4 months old!! It's crazy how much he's changed!

We took him to the Dr today for his check up, everything looks awesome! He weighs 15.6 lbs now & they say thats normal for his age. His height is 251/2 inches, which is in the 75%...so who knows, maybe he won't be short like his mom! Still got that big head tho!! He's such an active baby! He loves to smile & he laughs so much when you tickle him, he's so fun! Except he's kind of an onrey butt lately...he's getting two bottom teeth, it seems early to me! He used to sleep thru the whole night, we never really had to get up with him in the night, well that's all changed. Saturday Nic & I spent 2:30 -6:00 in the morning trying to get him to sleep, eat or anything just to make him happy. It didn't work. The past week his days & nights have gotten screwed up cause of his constant waking up to pain in his mouth. So the next few nights we're going to try to fix that...ha wish us luck & patience!

He loves to be on his belly! He rolls over to his back all the time & soon he'll be scootin' around! He can do a 360...just can't move forward yet.

Mason LOVES his baths!! If he's crying & won't calm down, we stick him in the tub & life is good...until you take him out of course! If we've got a towel right out of the warm dryer he's happy but it's no bueno if it's not a warm towel!!

We can't wait until all this crappy weather goes away because he LOVES to be pushed around in strollers. I never have to worry about him crying at the grocery store cause he's constently moving & is a happy baby in the cart!

And of course....is a Chargers fan like his Daddy! We love you Mason & can't believe how much you've grown & changed!

When I was getting ready this morning I had Mason layed on the bed, all the sudden he started squealing super high...I looked over & this is what I found. He always grabs his feet, he always puts things in his mouth, well now he's found out how to put his feet in his mouth, and not just barley get his mouth over his toes, he can fit his foot into his mouth! good thing he's a baby & has clean feet!

Poor Mason!! Me & Nic both got sick with colds...we passed it on to Mason. We took him into the Dr after he didn't get better over the weekend & they had us giving him these breathing treatments 5 times a day & each one lasted for 8 mins. We did this for 2 weeks. This pictures tells it all...luckly he's better & no more of this!

Mason rolls over!! Yesterday we laid him on his belly & he pushed himself up, he was mad cause he did not want to be on his belly. Next thing you know he's on his back. I flipped him back over & he just keeps rolling over! He'll be 3 months on Monday...it's crazy how much has already changed! He's so fun!!

On Sunday we blessed Mason...he's usually a VERY happy baby in the mornings & is so easy going, well not before the blessing! He was so cranky all morning. We got him in his car seat & headed to the church, he was being good until sacrament started...then he started to throw a fit. You could tell he was just tired so I took him out to try &get him to sleep before the blessing...it was working until a little boy decided to slam a door shut. There was no winning. So I brought him to Nic & as soon as Nic stood up to take him up & bless him, he quit his crying. He was SOO good during the blessing, he didn't make a sound!! It was a miracle!

Nic did such an awesome job blessing him!! He is such a good dad & husband! I'm so thankful for him & his testimony! We are so lucky he holds the preistood & is able to bless him! Thanks for all you do Nic :)

2 Months

We took Mason in for his 2 Month check up on the 21st...it's crazy how much he has changed!! he weighs 12lbs 2 oz. & is 23 in long, which they say both are in the 50 Percentile. Now his head is another story...it's HUGE!! it measures at 16 1/2, which is in the 90% it doesn't seem big until the onsies that fit his body won't fit over his melon! It's sure a cute head tho :)

It's so fun, he smiles all the time & he's starting to laugh out loud. When we talk to him he copies back, he "talks" when were driving in the car & he sure talks loud when were not giving enough attention! He's at a fun stage & it's getting more fun every day!!

The Past Year

So much has gone on in our lives the past year & since it's the new year I just wanted to look back & see all that's happened!!

January

Nic got settlement money from a car wreck & so we stashed it into our savings for a down payment on a house
Nichole found out she had endometriosis & had surgery to get rid of much of it as we could. So glad Nic has an understanding boss & let him stay home a couple days to take care of me!

February

We started to talk to Nichole's Uncle Reed about building us home, just an idea, nothing serious yet!

March

We purchased a lot from Uncle Reed...looks like we're building a house!
We signed the papers & pretty much our lives to the bank
Nic's parents let us move into their basement so we could save some money while we were building
Got the cutest puppy...we named him Bentley!

April

Nichole hadn't been feeling too good...so we bought a pregnancy test just to make sure...SUPRISE...there's a baby on the way!!
Started to build the house! Got the basement poured & all framed up!

May

Still building the house...Nic learned how to roof & had all the help he could get from Nichole's mom & uncles.

June

On June 6th of 2009 we were sealed in the Logan Temple...so Nic suprised & we were able to get away for the weekend from all the hastle of building the house

We had to be in the house by the 30th to get the tax credit for our house, we got in on the 29th & counter tops were still getting worked on...nothing like last minute, but we did it!!

July

We found out our baby is a BOY!!

August

Not much happened with us this month, but 2 of our really good friends got married...we're so happy for them!!

September

Nic had to take another Job because when we built we planned on both our income but when he comes Nichole needed a couple weeks off, so he's working at the cabinet shop & Gossners...we see each other for probably an hour total a day. So thankful for a husband who would do this for us!

October

The pregnancy had been going good so far except I was having horrible pain in my kidneys & ribs...they call it hydronephrosis, pretty much my kidneys weren't working as good & it makes your ribs hurt, so they gave me pain medicine & I had to deal with it for just a couple more months
We celebrated Nic's 24th birthday & had all his friends & family over

November

Finished getting all the baby stuff & got his room all ready...now just waiting

Nichole had the worst Thanksgiving...the baby had dropped a week before, I woke up Thanksgiving morning & he was back up!! I could barley walk or eat...dang it!

December

What a bitter/sweet month! Our puppy got hit by a car 2 days before the baby was due & he didn't make it, it was so sad!

The 12th (mason's due date) had come & gone...9 days later we went to the womens center & I was induced. The following day at 7:30 pm I had a C-Section & we had our beautiful baby boy Mason! We brought him home the day before Christmas...best present ever!

It's been a crazy year & has had it's ups & downs. parts of it have been a struggle but it's made us grow stronger together & when we see this baby we know why we do so much & it keeps us going! Can't wait for this new year as a family & to see what it brings us!!

So the 12th had come & gone...no baby yet! So on the 20th I went in to get induced, was in labor for 19 hours & the doctors finally decided to do a C-Section...longest day of my life!! But as soon as I could hear him cry & Nic could see him, it was the best feeling!!

I got to hold him for maybe 30 seconds & they took Mason away to clean him off & check him out. They took me to another room for an hour to let all my meds wear off. Nic brought him in for me to hold him & that lasted about 15 min & the nurses had to take him down to the NICU because he had low blood sugar from the long labor. I didn't get to see him the rest of that night & it was hard!

Mason stayed in the NICU until Thursday night & we were able to bring him up to our room. We got to go down and be with him as much as we wanted before that but it was hard because I was recovering from the surgery. So glad Nic was able to stay with me at the hospital every night & be there all day with me, poor guy slept on the worlds smallest couch everynight!

Finally Friday came & we got to take Mason home!! It was Christmas Eve day & Mason was the BEST Christmas present ever!!

Less then 11 weeks to go!! It's crazy how fast time has gone! I've finally painted the baby's room!! There's still a little more to do to it, so i'll get pictures up when it's done. I feel like i'm finally getting everything done & i'm so glad! We finally got out diaper bag & carseat, i was so excited to get them, i feel lame saying that but everytime we get more thing for this little guy I get way excited for him to get here!

Oh & we finally have it down to our top 3 names!! So glad! I think we're going to wait to see him & see what name fits best before we pick it

I haven't posted forever, but it's because there isn't alot to talk about lately! We've been stressing out a little because when this baby comes I'm going to quit working for a little bit, I'll go back hopefully soon after, even just part time, but we weren't plannin for this baby & so when we built our house we were planning on both of our income for everything. So Nic found a second job...i'm not going to lie, I hate it. He still works at Keystone Cabinets from 8-3 & then just got on at Gossner's working 4-Midnight. I guess we're lucky because some people can't even find jobs right now, but it's hard not seeing him all the time! So far he's had weekends off & so hopefully it stays that way!

So it's been awhile since we've posted but there's not alot to write about...so I figured I better get a picture of some kind of "baby bump" on here! So here it is! I'm just over 25 weeks now, which means this pregnancy is over half done! Can't wait to meet this little guy! I started feeling him move around 19 weeks along & now I swear I can feel him doing summer saults! Nic can feel him kick alot...it's a pretty cool feeling, i'm not going to lie tho...it's really weird when you can see your stomach move cause of it!

Now it's the hard part...we are trying to think of names, there are so many! We have a few in mind, we'll probably narrow it down to 2 or 3 and see which one fits him once he's born!

We have a baby BOY due Dec. 12! We just found out yesterday it's a boy & we're so excited!! When we were getting the ultra sound he would keep covering up his face with his hands so in every picture we got he's covering up his face! I can' wait to meet this little guy!

So this past year has gone by so so fast!! It seems like just the other day I was getting sealed to my best friend! I can't believe how much can change in one year!

Last weekend was our first anniversery...we've been so busy getting ready to move into our house & trying to save money I didn't think we were doing anything, but Nic suprised me!! We went down to Sandy & stayed in the Castle Creek Inn. It was so nice & there was chocolate & rose pedals everywhere!! It was sweet of Nic!

Our bathtub had lights in it that changed colors...it was sweet!

Oh Bentley...it's a good thing you're soo cute! He's about 5 months old now, we've always locked him in the bathroom when we go places for a few hours and he's fine because he pees... & everywhere!

I went out of town & Nic put him in the bathroom so he could go to church, I got home while he was gone & this is what I came home too...Nic forgot to shut the closet door & he got into his dog food. It was everywhere....thanks Bentley.

So a few weeks later we shut the closet, learned to take the toilet paper off the holder & put the garbage on the toilet. Bentley was not happy about that, so he decided to jump until he made it on the counter. He did it & knocked everything over & off the counter. Thanks again Bentley!

He usually eats toilet paper or whatevers on the ground as long as it's not his food...I'm surprised this much was left on the floor!

We ♥ you Bentley....please just chill out a little!!

We're one step closer to getting into our house!! Poor Nic had to roof by himself Saturday for like 6 hours! A few days before he was at work using a table saw & cut his thumb...it was bad, he's way lucky he didn't cut the thing off!! But it only took 2 more long nights after work & we got it done with the help of family & friends! We even worked through the rain...I didn't like the ladder so I just stayed on the ground & tried to stay productive!

Nic has really been wanting a dog...me...I'm not such a fan of dogs, they have always scared me! He wanted a big dog that could live inside our house...& I'm not a fan of that either. So we compromised. We found a little "house dog" that doesn't shed or look like a girly little rat dog...it's called a Chizer. We had never heard of him before, he's a cross between a Chiwawa & a Schnauzer...and he's stinkin cute & doesn't look like either of those breeds!

He likes to cuddle & sleep during the day & then when it's bed time he whines until we pick him up then just wants to play & bite. Joys of having a puppy :)

Time to Start Building...!

We closed on our loan today!!! They've started digging the hole for our house today & we can't wait to see how fast it's going up! We're going to be SUPER busy the next 3 months!

Over the past weekend we moved into Nic's parents basement to save some money. We didn't realize we had so much stuff!! When we first moved into our apartment we didn't have anything...now we don't know what to do wtih all of our stuff!! The Hyer's home is just up the road where we are building so it's nice to be close while we build.

Tonight Nic & Blake were down pulling all the dead pine trees off the lot...there was about 4 or 5 big dead ones & he said it was alot of work to get them out. They were down there pretty late, but we're glad they are all out now!

Goodbye Apartment!!!

So this was our very first place together...and now it's time to get rid of our lease & say goodbye!! We want to save money while we are building and so we are moving into Nic's parents basement. It's going to take only 4 months to build at the longest and so we won't be there long! We sure won't miss renting tho!! (No pictures of the bedroom...messy!!!)

So we've only been married since June of '09 and we thought we'd be renting for awhile. Well we have a pretty good down payment we could put on a house & we've decided it's a good time to find a house. My Uncle is a contractor & told us instead of buying an older home with our budget, we could build & he'd help us do everything & for a good price!! So we've got our floor plans & the lot! It's in Smithfield on 3rd south, which is a place we want to be...we like Smithfield! So i'll keep this updated when we get started on the house, which will be any day!! Can't wait, we're building a house :) Hope everything goes smooth & as planned!

Weekend @ Alex's!

This weekend we went to Alex's house for what he called a BBQ, it was anything but that! He bought a frozen lasanga & made that. It was good but he definently didn't cook it like he said! We played pool, danced & sang all night! It was way fun! Chels, Justin, Cailen, Colton, Alex & Mandy were all there. It was fun seeing them all cause it's been awhile!

Nic was trying to get me to dance with him all night, but sorry Alex, when you put on "Ice Ice Baby" I have a hard time wanting to dance!

We had everyone over to watch a football game & play games! Here's some pictures!

We played this game called would you rather & Nic & I had to write "GOOF" on our forheads & hold our mouths open for the next players turn.

Zach, Sabre & there cute baby Zailee came over to watch the college championship football game...Go Alabama!! It was way fun & hopefully we'll be doing more with them!

haha...this part of the game, Jordan & Randy were on a team. They had to act out stuff we shouted to them for a min! We've never laughed so hard!

So this year we went out to my parents till about 10:00. We had tons of family & friends over. We played games, pool & ate TONS of food! It was alot of fun! After that we went out to Ryan & Britney Larsens house played more games & watched the ball drop! It's been a fun year & can't wait to see what this one has to bring!

This was our first Christmas being married....it was fun getting & decorating our own tree! It was sure different this year being just the 2 of us! It was way fun tho! Christmas Eve we went to Nic's grandma's & ate dinner with all the family, then we headed out to see my family. Every Christmas Eve we get to open one gift & it's always pj's from my parents! They bought me & Nic some, it was fun!

Christmas Morning I was like a little kid still! I woke up at like 7 & made Nic get out of bed! He opened his presents, he got 2 new Chargers shirts (since he really needed some more...) and a new electric razor...he doesn't feel like sandpaper anymore...yay!

Nic did pretty good...my Chi died so he got me a new one & two pairs of boots & they were stinkin cute, he picked them out himself too!

Gingerbread Houses

On Sunday, we had Justin & Chels over to make gingerbread houses with us...The boys looked at us like we were CrAzY! But it's Christmas time, we need to get into the Christmas Spirit!! Both houses turned out pretty cute, but mine & Nic's house slowly caved in. It made a big mess but it was alot of fun! Nic & Justin always make us laugh! They sang the whole night kept making the dumbest jokes...but we love them!

So this past weekend Nic & I went down to Salt Lake to go see the lights on Temple Square. Justin & Chelsie went down with us. We went to eat at Rodizio Grill first. Chelsie is a HUGE Memo Okur fan (he plays for the Jazz) and she was saying how cool it would be if he was there!

Funny story...we were eating & and he walked up to the salad bar. Long story short, we got to meet Memo & Chelsie got a picture with him right before he left!

Denver & The Chargers!

The weekend of the 20th, Nic scored some tickets to the Denver Broncos game, but no, we are not Broncos fans, we're Chargers fans & they happened to be playing in denver :) So we packed up & took a road trip with Colton (i felt bad cause i had a flu the WHOLE trip...and riding in a car was NO fun!) Cailen flew in & met us in Denver. It was a blast! Neither of us had been to a NFL game before so it was a new experience! Tons & tons of Denver fans!! But the chargers rocked the stadium! We won and the Bronco fans had nothing else to say to us. It was a way fun trip!!

Disneyland!!!

The honeymoon...where do we go?! We picked Disneyland!! I swear it's the greatest place on earth! We flew out to California & that was my first time on a plane...kinda scared me!! But we were there for a week, it was a blast!!

We saw Pluto & everyone else you can think of, we were just not patient enough to wait in all the lines to get a picture!

This is how we killed time in the lines....

In disneyland, they had these cool wedding ears for those who were on a honeymoon! Nic is showing his ring, it just didn't make it in the picture, he's not flipping it off!

Tower of Terror...I have never seen Nic so scared in my life. It was the funniest thing! If you look close we're right under the word maximum & everyone is smiling in this picutre, Nic has a death grip. So we had to take a picture!
So one day we went to eat with all the Princess's!

It was fun, but very expensive & not as good as we

thought it would be! The good news, we got pics

with every princess :)

ESPN Zone...wow we spent alot of time here! We bought clothes, coasters & lots of other pointless stuff here. But it got us some nice decorations for our house!

And the very best part was saved for last...the fireworks! Even though it was so crowded & you couldn't move without touching the person next to you...it was magical!

The wedding turned out perfect! It had been a very rainy June & we went into the temple with it raining, came out & the sun was shining. We were even able to have the reception outside, (through some miracle!) it couldn't have turned out any more perfect!

It's been a busy past 6 months. To begin, February we got engaged. (Which I had no idea was going to happen anytime soon, thanks to absolutly no hints or talks about it. But it was a very good surprise...thanks Nic!) We started to plan our wedding with just over 3 months to do. Thanks to all the help from family & friends it turned out really good. It had it's stressful moments & it's good moments. We're just happy the planning is all over.
